About the role
Craneburg Construction is one of Nigeria’s largest private construction groups, serving sectors such as Oil and Gas, marine, FMCG, and government. We are looking for five Construction Lab Technicians to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is based in Abia, Akwa Ibom, Anambra, Enugu, or Imo.
Responsibilities
- Conduct field tests, including soil compaction, slump tests, and concrete sampling.
- Record test results, prepare reports, and maintain accurate laboratory records.
- Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment.
- Monitor material quality and report non-conformities to the Quality Control Engineer.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety procedures, and quality standards.
- Collect, prepare, and test material samples in accordance with approved standards.
- Conduct tests on soil, concrete, aggregates, asphalt, and other construction materials.
- Coordinate with site engineers and the QA/QC team to resolve material quality issues.
Requirements
- OND, HND, or BSc in Civil Engineering, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
- Practical knowledge of soil, concrete, aggregate, and asphalt testing procedures.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction materials testing.
- Familiarity with relevant ASTM, BS, or other applicable construction testing standards.
- Ability to prepare technical reports and maintain accurate test records.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
