About the role
Applinet Technology is a forward-thinking company focused on delivering innovative digital and IT solutions. We are looking for a qualified Computer Technician to join our team in Lagos. In this full-time role, you will ensure that our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, and operating at maximum capability. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing computer systems and networks.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and drivers.
- Troubleshoot system failures and bugs to restore functionality.
- Manage security options and software to protect against attacks.
- Set up and manage LAN/WAN networks, including servers and IP components.
- Perform regular system upgrades and maintenance sessions.
- Provide timely technical support and train users on proper computer usage.
- Maintain and repair technological equipment such as routers and peripherals.
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and fixes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a computer technician or in a similar role.
- BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Thorough knowledge of computer systems, IT components, and LAN/WAN networks.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles.
- Strong communication and time-management abilities.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA A+, are an advantage.
