About the role
Schlumberger Limited is seeking a Completions Maintenance Technician to join their team in Port Harcourt, Rivers. This full-time position focuses on reducing nonproductive time for product line assets and enhancing overall maintenance efficiency. You will play a key part in ensuring equipment is delivered on time to meet operational demands while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned equipment in line with the reliability-centered maintenance strategy and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) standards.
- Build and pressure test Completions sub-assemblies according to well design specifications.
- Perform troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks.
- Record materials, labor costs, and maintenance history in Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) business systems.
- Apply 5S principles to keep the workplace organized and safe.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance asset utilization and reduce service delivery costs.
- Coach and mentor new technicians to support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Ensure all workshop documentation is complete, organized, and compliant with SLB standards and local regulations.
Requirements
- Completed National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Higher National Diploma (HND) in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Petroleum, or Materials/Metallurgy).
- Minimum of 5 years of shop operations experience in oilfield Completions, including leadership or supervisory roles.
- Hands-on competency with Completions technologies such as Sand Management Services, Intelligent Completions, and Liner Hangers.
- Knowledge of CMMS, maintenance methodologies, tubulars, material types, and connection thread types.
