About the role
Siemens Energy Limited is seeking a highly driven Financial Commercial Expert to join the Gas Services team in Lagos. In this full-time position, you will act as a finance partner to the Sales and Project Management organization. You will handle all financial commercial aspects and project financials for service orders, working in a dynamic environment where financial expertise supports bid, proposal, and contract execution processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present regular project status reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Perform general ledger activities, including project-related journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Review, analyze, and negotiate financial and commercial components of customer proposals and Master Frame Agreements.
- Manage monthly revenue recognition, forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and profit margin optimization.
- Collaborate with project managers to provide commercial support according to PM@SE guidelines and contractual agreements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting rules (IFRS 15 & local GAAP), legal, compliance, tax, and foreign exchange regulations.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
- Ensure the accuracy of cost and pricing calculations during contract negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in Business Administration or Finance, preferably with experience in Project Execution.
- Knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and percentage of completion (PoC) accounting.
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office applications and SAP.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English; a third language is beneficial.
- Ability to travel, multi-task, and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Leadership experience is preferred.
