About the role
Domeo Resources International is seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join a luxury restaurant team in Abuja (FCT). This position reports directly to the Outlet Manager. The role is vital for maintaining a safe, refined, and welcoming environment for both guests and staff, strictly adhering to luxury hospitality standards and food safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain spotless floors, surfaces, furniture, glass, and fixtures throughout the restaurant.
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, non-cooking kitchen zones, restrooms, entrances, offices, and staff facilities.
- Handle basic laundry duties, including cleaning staff uniforms, napkins, table linens, and cleaning cloths.
- Ensure restrooms are regularly disinfected and stocked with adequate toiletries and hygiene materials.
- Manage waste by emptying bins, ensuring they are odor-free, and supporting recycling practices.
- Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely while reporting any maintenance issues or hazards promptly.
- Refresh dining areas before opening, during service breaks, and after closing to ensure a polished guest experience.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a professional cleaning or hygiene role, preferably in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting.
- Familiarity with food hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and the correct use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Minimum of a Secondary School Certificate or equivalent; additional training in sanitation is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, physical stamina for demanding tasks, and good time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
