About the role
Engineering Automation Technology Limited (EATL) is an indigenous technological engineering company based in Nigeria. We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team in Akwa Ibom. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing construction projects that improve communities and infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assign daily tasks to site crews, including masons, carpenters, and operators, while interpreting structural layouts and blueprints.
- Plan efficient workflows for excavation, rebar tying, formwork, and concrete pouring.
- Monitor civil subcontractors and identify design clashes early to coordinate fixes with engineering.
- Conduct daily safety checks on scaffolding, shoring systems, and heavy equipment.
- Verify the quality of incoming materials such as rebar, cement, and aggregates against certificates.
- Direct and control on-site civil works to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
- Implement safety rules, conduct daily tool-box talks, and verify Job Safety Analyses (JSA) and permits.
- Check the alignment of foundations and structural columns using survey data.
- Record field modifications for as-built drawings and maintain zero Lost Time Injuries (LTIs).
Requirements
- Diploma in Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Welding & Fabrication Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant construction experience in oil & gas, fabrication, maintenance, EPCIC, or industrial projects.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience in equipment/piping installation, welding operations, and offshore/onshore maintenance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software.
