About the role
Santus Consulting is seeking a strategic leader to serve as Chief Financial Officer. This position involves overseeing financial governance, reporting, and capital access for a multi-entity group spanning agriculture, energy, tech, mining, real estate, and finance. The role combines financial leadership with investment oversight and strategic capital management.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate financial records and oversee IFRS consolidation, taxation, and audit processes.
- Establish and maintain finance policies, internal controls, and cash visibility.
- Lead capital raising efforts and manage relationships with banks and development finance institutions.
- Participate in investment committees and review financial models and capital plans.
- Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and represent the group in financial engagements.
- Lead the Finance Department and set standards for subsidiary finance officers.
Requirements
- Membership in good standing with ICAN or ANAN.
- Current registration with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN).
- Experience managing multi-entity IFRS consolidation and complex group accounting.
- Proven track record in establishing finance functions or remediating audit opinions.
- Demonstrable experience in raising external capital and managing financing covenants.
- Knowledge of Nigerian taxation, including transfer pricing and electronic invoicing.
- Experience in treasury management and currency-related financial risks.
