We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join our Secondary School team. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support academic development, and foster a positive learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons in line with the school curriculum.
- Conduct practical experiments and laboratory activities while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Assess and monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Identify students who require additional support and provide appropriate interventions.
- Prepare students adequately for internal and external examinations.
- Maintain effective classroom management and discipline.
- Collaborate with other teachers and participate in departmental and school activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Education (Chemistry), or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1 year teaching experience, preferably at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school Chemistry curriculum.
- Ability to conduct Chemistry practicals safely and effectively.
- Good computer literacy and ability to use technology to enhance teaching.
- Good classroom management and communication skills.
- Experience preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and/or JAMB is an advantage.
