About the role
Dangote Industries Limited is seeking a Central Maintenance Manager to drive strategic maintenance planning and continuous improvement at its Okpella Plant in Edo State. This leadership position focuses on supporting plant performance objectives by overseeing all mechanical maintenance activities. The role ensures equipment reliability, optimal resource allocation, and strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Drive root cause analysis and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all maintenance activities.
- Lead, mentor, and supervise maintenance teams, including engineers and technicians.
- Develop and manage comprehensive maintenance strategies and schedules for all plant assets.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, budget compliance, and resource utilization.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Coordinate major maintenance shutdowns and capital projects.
- Prepare reports and present maintenance performance to senior management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; postgraduate qualifications are an advantage.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive maintenance experience, with at least five (5) years in a supervisory or managerial role within heavy industry.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Commitment to safety, environmental sustainability, and operational excellence.
- Expertise in maintenance planning, reliability engineering, and asset management.
