About the role
Foodster Retail Limited is looking for a friendly and honest Cashier to join the team at its Ilorin Palms branch. You will be the face of the company at the till, ensuring a positive experience for every customer. The employer will provide training on the Eleo POS system, so prior technical experience is not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist them in finding products.
- Count your float at the start of the shift and balance the till at the end.
- Maintain a clean and well-stocked counter and display area.
- Process payments via cash, card (POS terminal), and bank transfers, confirming transfers before customers leave.
- Suggest add-ons and promotions such as drinks, pastries, and daily deals.
- Record every sale on the POS system to ensure a receipt is issued.
- Report any shortages, voids, or refunds to your supervisor immediately.
Requirements
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Confident reading, writing, and basic math skills.
- Honesty and integrity, as you will handle cash daily.
- Comfort with using a phone or tablet.
- Friendly and polite demeanor with customers.
- Cashier or shop experience is a plus but not required.
