About the role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited is seeking a Capsule Filling Machine Operator to join our production team in Makun City, Ogun. This full-time position focuses on the accurate and hygienic filling of pharmaceutical capsules in a GMP-regulated environment. You will work within the Solid Dosage Manufacturing section, reporting to the Production Supervisor or Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor capsule filling machines according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform pre-operational checks, including line clearance and equipment verification.
- Conduct in-process quality control checks for fill weight, appearance, and integrity.
- Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, material usage, and production data.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent contamination and ensure proper reconciliation.
- Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with routine cleaning, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities.
Requirements
- Minimum of Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE/WAEC/NECO) or equivalent.
- OND, NCE, HND, or relevant technical qualification in Engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, or a related field is an advantage.
- 2–4 years of experience operating capsule filling machines or similar pharmaceutical equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of GMP, line clearance, and contamination prevention.
- Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work shifts.
