About the role
Elastic is looking for a Senior Developer Advocate to help developers and the community succeed. You will focus on content creation, specifically producing deep-dive videos and building open-source examples. This role is part of the DevRel team, which aims to educate users on the Elastic Search AI Platform and observability tools.
Responsibilities
- Create high-quality technical videos covering search, AI/ML, observability, and Elasticsearch.
- Build and publish open-source demos and sample applications on GitHub.
- Stay current with trends in search, AI, and observability to inform content.
- Contribute to Elasticsearch Labs and the company YouTube channel.
- Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on community interactions.
Requirements
- A proven track record of creating highly technical and engaging videos (mandatory to share in application).
- Strong technical background and experience in an engineering role.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.
- Comfortable working in a distributed, self-organizing environment.
- Empathy for the community and a desire to help solve user issues.
Pay and benefits
- Base salary range: CAD 122,300 – 172,300.
- Eligibility to participate in Elastic’s stock program.
