About the role
Elite Talent Placements is looking for a Business Development Officer to help the company grow its presence in the oil and gas sector. You will work to secure new contracts and strengthen relationships with existing clients. This role is based in Benin, Edo, and reports directly to the Director.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue business opportunities with oil and gas operators, EPC contractors, and industrial clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and Nigerian Content requirements to advise management.
- Prepare and coordinate technical and commercial proposals with internal teams.
- Maintain a live sales pipeline and submit regular business development reports.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers in procurement and technical departments.
- Support contract negotiations and hand over signed agreements to the Operations team.
Requirements
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales within the oil and gas or industrial sector.
- Knowledge of tendering processes, vendor registration, and Nigerian Content regulations.
- Strong skills in proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel and a strong commitment to ethical business practices.
