About the role
Elite Talent Placement is seeking a Business Development Officer to join their team in Benin, Edo. This role focuses on the oil and gas sector, where you will identify new business opportunities and grow existing client relationships. You will work directly with operators, EPC contractors, and industrial clients to secure profitable contracts.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify opportunities with oil and gas operators and service companies.
- Build strong relationships with procurement and technical decision-makers.
- Manage vendor registrations and maintain Nigerian Content certifications.
- Coordinate technical and commercial proposals with internal teams.
- Support contract negotiations and hand over won projects to Operations.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to advise management.
- Maintain a live pipeline and submit regular business development reports.
Requirements
- B.Eng or B.Sc in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in business development or sales within oil and gas or industrial sectors.
- Knowledge of tendering processes and Nigerian Content requirements.
- Strong skills in proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Willingness to travel and a strong commitment to ethical business practices.
