About the role
Alfred and Victoria Associates is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead commercial execution for its Nutri Wellness product line. Based in Lagos, this full-time position focuses on driving high sales volumes, securing premium shelf placement in retail drug stores, and expanding distribution through wholesalers, pharmacy chains, and open-market trade channels.
Responsibilities
- Secure premium, eye-level shelf placement for product brands in target pharmacies and drug stores.
- Drive unit volumes of mass-market lines to meet weekly, monthly, and annual revenue targets.
- Execute localized trade promotions and retail incentives to encourage pharmacist recommendations.
- Liquidate stock through high-volume trade channels, sub-wholesalers, and major retail hubs.
- Manage relationships with key distributors to ensure consistent product supply.
- Implement merchandising standards that maximize brand visibility against competitors.
- Monitor store-level inventory to prevent stockouts.
- Map and onboard new drug stores and retail pharmacies to increase spatial coverage.
- Track competitor pricing and shelving tactics to provide actionable feedback to management.
- Negotiate bulk deals and trade campaigns for rapid inventory turnover.
- Deploy point-of-sale materials effectively to capture consumer attention.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Medical Sciences, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of proven sales experience in FMCG, over-the-counter (OTC) pharmaceuticals, or mass-market dietary supplements.
- Strong commercial negotiation and analytical skills for tracking shelf metrics.
- An active network of relationships with wholesale drug markets, pharmacy chains, and retail buyers.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-volume distribution and field merchandising campaigns.
