About the role
GTEA Express is a logistics company in Nigeria committed to providing timely and affordable delivery services. We are currently seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team in Lagos. This full-time position focuses on growing our loan portfolio by connecting with potential borrowers and building strategic partnerships.
Responsibilities
- Present Padiloan to HR teams and staff forums, following up on proposals until signing.
- Manage borrowers through the repayment process, including sending reminders and handling late payments respectfully.
- Report weekly on sales pipeline, disbursements, and collections.
- Identify and sign up quality borrowers, such as salary earners, healthcare workers, and traders, including regular visits to markets and business clusters.
- Assist applicants in completing their loan applications and documentation correctly.
- Build partnerships with employers, cooperatives, and HR outsourcing firms for payroll-deducted loans.
Requirements
- HND or Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 2 years of experience in loan sales, microfinance, fintech, banking (retail or SME), or B2B field sales.
- Comfortable working in markets, offices, and HR departments.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Yoruba, Pidgin, or other local languages is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of bank statements, loan repayment, and credit risk.
- Proficiency with smartphones, WhatsApp Business, Google Sheets, and email.
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Integrity, discretion with customer data, and a respectful approach to collections.
