About the role
Elite Talent Placements (ETP) is looking for a Business Development Executive to help grow revenue for its “Secure Garden Resort” in Benin City. You will be responsible for converting the hotel’s strengths, such as its secure perimeter and large event capacity, into steady business from corporate clients, institutions, and direct bookings. This role reports to Hotel Management and focuses on either Corporate & Institutional Accounts or Weddings, Events & Direct Sales.
Responsibilities
- Promote rooms, facilities, and events to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Maintain a live sales pipeline and submit weekly reports.
- Follow up on leads, convert enquiries into bookings, and conduct client meetings and site tours.
- Quote rates only within approved limits without unauthorised discounting.
- For Corporate Accounts: Map and manage government and institutional accounts, and lead outreach to UNIBEN and UBTH.
- For Events & Direct Sales: Sell wedding packages and garden bookings, and grow direct bookings via digital channels.
- Relay guest and client feedback to management.
Requirements
- B.Sc or HND in Marketing, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in B2B or hospitality sales (events experience is an advantage).
- Knowledge of the Benin City market.
- Strong skills in proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation.
- Proficiency in Excel and CRM tools.
- Integrity, initiative, and a guest-first attitude.
