About the role
Federal University Dutse (FUD) is seeking a qualified Bursar to serve as the Chief Financial Officer of the institution. The Bursar will oversee the Bursary Department and manage the university’s financial affairs under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor. FUD, located in Dutse, Jigawa State, aims to be a teaching and research-intensive institution that nurtures character, scholarship, and public value.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the Chief Financial Officer of the university.
- Oversee the operations of the Bursary Department.
- Manage the university’s financial affairs under the supervision of the Vice-Chancellor.
Requirements
- A First degree in Accounting from a recognised institution.
- Membership of a recognised professional accounting body.
- A rank not below Deputy Bursar or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of continuous public service experience, including 10 years in a university bursary.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Strong leadership, management, and ICT skills.
- High integrity and good physical and mental health.
- Must not be older than 60 years by 12th April 2027.
