About the role
International Breweries Plc is looking for a Brewing Area Manager to lead and manage area teams in the brewing department. The role focuses on delivering sound operational and technical practices while adhering to prescribed VPO practices. You will be responsible for meeting production plans and maintaining control over budgeted KPIs and costs.
Responsibilities
- Promote beer brewing quality excellence in the value chain.
- Provide brewing process expertise and lead problem-solving processes.
- Facilitate team problem-solving and decision-making.
- Manage health, safety, and risk for area teams.
- Manage productivity by controlling fixed and variable costs and minimizing waste.
- Manage the brewing process to ensure conformance to production plans and specifications.
- Ensure adherence to system processes and technology standards.
- Manage people by applying performance management principles and developing employees.
Requirements
- BSc Degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
- Completed brewing traineeship.
- IBD Papers 1, 2 & 3 completed and passed.
- At least 2 years of production experience, including 1 year at a management level within Brewing.
- Demonstrated experience in driving commercial decisions in a brewery.
- Good performance track record with a disciplined work ethic.
- Master Brewer IBD qualification obtained or studying towards it.
