About the role
Value Edge Management Services is recruiting an Audit Manager – IT for a major player in the banking sector. This full-time position is based in Lagos. The role focuses on conducting independent audits across IT systems, financial operations, compliance, and organizational processes. You will evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Execute risk-based audits covering financial, operational, IT, compliance, and organizational functions.
- Perform IT audits covering application controls, infrastructure, cybersecurity, access management, data protection, backups, and disaster recovery.
- Review financial records, accounting transactions, procurement activities, and operational processes for accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare detailed audit reports, document observations, and present findings to stakeholders.
- Monitor the implementation of agreed corrective and preventive actions.
- Support external auditors, regulators, and certification bodies during statutory and compliance audits.
- Participate in investigations relating to fraud, policy violations, or whistleblower complaints.
- Maintain audit working papers, evidence, and risk registers in accordance with professional standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related field.
- 6–10 years of experience in Internal Audit, External Audit, IT Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, or Finance.
- Experience working with ERP systems, databases, and audit documentation tools.
- Exposure to FinTech, Banking, Financial Services, ERP, or Software Development environments is highly desirable.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CRISC, or ISO 27001 Lead Auditor are an added advantage.
