About the role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited (SVNL) is a NAFDAC-approved pharmaceutical manufacturer based in Ikeja, Lagos. We are looking for an Assistant Quality Assurance Manager to support our Quality Assurance Manager. You will help maintain our Pharmaceutical Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure all products meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory standards. This is a full-time position within the Quality Assurance department.
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System.
- Monitor GMP compliance across production, warehousing, and other departments.
- Review batch manufacturing records and support product release activities.
- Manage deviations, investigations, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Participate in internal audits and prepare for regulatory inspections by NAFDAC.
- Support validation and qualification processes for equipment and systems.
- Monitor quality control results and investigate out-of-specification issues.
- Assist with supplier quality management and product complaint handling.
- Coordinate training on GMP and documentation practices for staff.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, QA, or QC.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, GDP, data integrity, and NAFDAC regulations.
- Experience with SOP management, deviation investigations, and CAPA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic quality management systems.
