A reputable hotel in the hospitality industry is looking for a dedicated and service-oriented Assistant Laundry Specialist to join its team in Lagos. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and quality for hotel linens and guest garments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with washing, drying, ironing, and folding hotel linens, towels, uniforms, and guest garments.
- Sort laundry according to colour, fabric, and washing requirements.
- Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure clean items are properly folded, stored, and delivered to the appropriate departments.
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the laundry area.
- Report damaged or stained items to the supervisor.
- Help maintain adequate laundry supplies and detergents.
- Follow hotel hygiene, safety, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE / OND or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a hotel, laundry facility, or hospitality environment is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Physically fit and able to handle laundry-related tasks.
- Honest, reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
