About the role
Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja is looking for an Assistant Front Office Manager to support the Front Office Manager in daily operations. You will help ensure exceptional guest experiences, efficient service delivery, and compliance with Hyatt brand standards. This role involves leading the team to provide warm welcomes, personalized service, and prompt resolution of guest concerns.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Housekeeping, Reservations, Sales, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Monitor room availability, arrivals, departures, VIP movements, and occupancy levels.
- Ensure accurate check-in, check-out, billing, and guest information procedures.
- Anticipate guest needs, handle complaints professionally, and promote a culture of genuine hospitality.
- Supervise, coach, and mentor Front Office colleagues, including shift handovers and duty rosters.
- Monitor billing discrepancies, room upgrades, and ensure accurate financial controls.
- Work with Reservations and Revenue Management to maximize room utilization and revenue.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and ensure compliance with safety and brand standards.
- Prepare shift reports, daily operational summaries, and monitor service performance indicators.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of relevant Front Office experience in an upscale or internationally branded hotel.
- Experience working with a hotel property management system (PMS); knowledge of Opera is an advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of hotel service standards, front office procedures, and operational controls.
- Previous experience as a Front Office Supervisor, Duty Manager, or in a similar supervisory role is an advantage.
