We are looking for an experienced professional to help strengthen our brand, manage our social media presence, and protect the company’s reputation. The role involves understanding the Nigerian market and online culture to respond to consumer concerns with professionalism and speed.
Responsibilities
- Manage the company’s presence on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, and other relevant platforms.
- Establish systems for handling negative publicity and communications crises.
- Track campaign performance and public sentiment to recommend improvements.
- Monitor brand mentions, consumer feedback, and emerging social media trends.
- Coordinate with customer service, quality assurance, sales, and legal teams to address complaints and prepare public responses.
- Create engaging content and maintain consistent brand messaging.
- Build relationships with local media, influencers, and business partners.
- Develop strategies to increase brand awareness and consumer trust.
Requirements
- Excellent spoken and written English; knowledge of Nigerian Pidgin or other local languages is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in brand management, public relations, or social media management.
- Strong understanding of Nigerian consumers, local culture, and the social media landscape.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive consumer complaints and communications crises.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively to urgent situations.
- Experience in the food, beverage, or FMCG industry is an advantage.
