About the role
Ikeja Electric is one of Nigeria’s largest power distribution companies, dedicated to providing reliable electricity services. We are looking for an Asset Assurance and Risk Specialist to join our team in Lagos. This position reports to the Administrative Service Manager and focuses on maintaining asset integrity, implementing risk management practices, and coordinating insurance coverage for the company’s facilities and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement asset assurance policies to ensure the safety and longevity of company assets.
- Conduct regular asset assessments and inspections to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Identify, analyze, and document potential risks, developing proactive mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to secure adequate coverage for high-risk assets.
- Manage claims processes in the event of asset damage or loss.
- Track and analyze data on asset integrity and risk incidents to provide insights for improvement.
- Prepare regular reports on asset assurance and risk management activities for senior leadership.
- Implement best practices in asset assurance and risk management to enhance operational resilience.
Requirements
- HND or B.Sc Degree in Estate Management, Estate Surveying & Valuation, or a related discipline within Environmental Sciences.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in the role.
- Membership of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) is an added advantage.
- Professional registration with ESVARBON and relevant professional certifications are an added advantage.
- Strong skills in risk assessment, insurance knowledge, data analysis, and facilities management principles.
- Demonstrable knowledge of Lagos and Ogun State land tenure and property laws.
