About the role
Solid Rock Hospital is a privately owned, ultra-modern facility with 26 beds located in Ojodu, Lagos. Founded in 1992, the hospital is seeking a reliable Ambulance Driver / Hospital Driver to join its team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct routine vehicle checks and report any faults or maintenance needs promptly.
- Assist clinical staff with the safe loading and unloading of patients.
- Transport patients safely to and from the hospital, referral centres, and other designated locations.
- Drive other hospital vehicles for official assignments as directed by management.
- Respond promptly to authorised transportation requests, including emergencies.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness, and readiness for use.
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Comply with traffic regulations, hospital policies, and patient confidentiality requirements.
Requirements
- Minimum of an SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and first aid.
- At least 3 years of driving experience; ambulance or hospital driving experience is an added advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, courteous, disciplined, and safety-conscious.
- Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
- Good knowledge of Lagos roads and traffic regulations.
- Valid Nigerian driver’s licence appropriate for assigned vehicles.
