About the role
Astria Learning is an edtech company that partners with universities to deliver digital learning solutions. We are looking for a motivated and empathetic Admissions Counselor to join our remote team. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for prospective students, guiding them from their initial inquiry through to successful enrollment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily outreach to prospective students via phone, WhatsApp, and email to introduce programs and encourage applications.
- Guide applicants through completing required forms and submitting supporting documentation.
- Provide personalized counseling and clarify program structures, fee schedules, and deadlines.
- Explain payment procedures for enrollment fees and deposits, and follow up to facilitate timely payments.
- Maintain proactive follow-up communication with assigned leads to build trust and improve conversion rates.
- Record student interactions and application status updates accurately in the CRM.
- Submit regular progress reports on lead status and enrollment outcomes to the Senior Admissions Counselor.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Education, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience is accepted.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in telesales, a call center, or a customer-facing service role.
- Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to handle objections while building rapport.
- Proficiency with CRM tools (e.g., Zoho, Salesforce) and communication platforms like WhatsApp and ManyChat.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple leads and follow-ups simultaneously.
- Comfort working independently in a remote, fast-paced environment with flexible hours.
- High ethical standards and a strong respect for student data privacy.
