About the role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Officer to support daily financial operations. You will ensure the accurate recording, reconciliation, and documentation of all financial transactions. This role is based in Ajegunle – Olodi Apapa, Lagos, and offers a salary of N200,000 per month.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of sales, expenses, and collections.
- Identify and report any discrepancies in financial or transaction records.
- Support petty cash and expense tracking.
- Ensure proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payment vouchers, and other financial documents.
- Monitor customer accounts, payments, and outstanding balances.
- Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions.
- Reconcile sales records with stock movement and transaction records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Reconcile daily cash collections, POS, bank transactions, and customer payments.
- Work closely with the Accountant, Sales, Inventory, and Store teams to ensure accurate records.
Requirements
- HND/B.Sc in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably in FMCG, wholesale, or distribution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Good understanding of basic accounting and reconciliation processes.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
- Candidates residing within Ajegunle, Olodi Apapa, Apapa, Amuwo Odofin, Mile 2, or nearby areas will be given preference.
