About the role
Elizabeth Maddeux Limited is hiring an experienced Accountant for a client in the financial services industry. This is a full-time, remote position requiring strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles. The role involves managing financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring regulatory compliance to support effective financial planning.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records, accounts, and ledgers.
- Identify financial risks and opportunities to improve processes.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor cash flow, income, and expenses.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in financial services.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- ICAN or ACCA certification is an added advantage.
