About the role
Tavia Technologies Limited is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Accountant to join their finance team in Lagos. With 25 years of experience in digital transformation, the company delivers bespoke software solutions for the financial, telecom, and public sectors. This full-time position reports directly to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with IFRS.
- Manage bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Provide financial insights and reports to management.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Coordinate internal and external audits and resolve related queries.
- Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes.
- Prepare and file VAT, WHT, PAYE, and CIT returns to ensure statutory compliance.
- Manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting.
Requirements
- B.Sc Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- ACA (ICAN) certification is required.
- 5–7 years of post-qualification accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, including QuickBooks, Oracle, and Zoho Books.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
