About the role
Power Ark Infrastructure Limited provides photovoltaic and energy storage solutions across Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Lagos. You will manage our accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain effective financial controls.
Responsibilities
- Maintain inventory accounting records and reconcile stock values for solar products.
- Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, and profitability.
- Manage daily bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger transactions.
- Process invoices, receipts, and supplier payments.
- Ensure proper financial documentation, internal controls, and audit compliance.
- Perform bank reconciliations and manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow reports.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (mandatory).
- Minimum of 3 years of in-house accounting experience.
- Practical experience in inventory accounting, budgeting, and cost control.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Experience in the solar, renewable energy, or project-based industry is an added advantage.
