About the role
Medi Check Health is a health screening and occupational medical services company based in G.R.A., Ikeja, Lagos. Since 2009, we have provided medical checkups, laboratory tests, and wellness care for individuals and corporate groups. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to join our growing team and support our financial operations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file VAT, withholding tax (WHT), PAYE, and company income tax returns.
- Provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
- Prepare budgets, cash flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Monitor receivables, outstanding payments, expenses, and cash flow.
- Identify and report financial discrepancies and control weaknesses.
- Support payroll processing, statutory deductions, and tax compliance.
- Prepare monthly management accounts, trial balances, and year-end financial statements.
- Ensure timely remittance of pension and other statutory deductions.
- Maintain tax records and support audits by FIRS, LIRS, and external auditors.
- Maintain accurate books of account, including general ledgers, journals, and reconciliations.
- Manage petty cash and process expense claims.
Requirements
- ACA (ICAN), ACCA, or ANAN qualification is strongly preferred; part-qualified candidates will be considered.
- 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High level of accuracy, integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
- B.Sc./HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
