About the role
Genesis Group is a leading hospitality company with over 30 years of experience in catering, hotels, restaurants, and cinemas. With more than 10,000 staff across 30 locations in Nigeria and beyond, we are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team in Aba, Abia. This is a full-time position focused on maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring proper financial control.
Responsibilities
- Monitor daily sales, expenses, and cash flow.
- Track budgets, inventory costs, and operational expenses.
- Reconcile daily sales and payment transactions.
- Ensure proper financial controls and accountability.
- Prepare financial statements and periodic reports.
- Maintain accurate financial records and accounts.
- Process payments and maintain proper financial documentation.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND/HND or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- Previous accounting experience; restaurant or hospitality experience is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Honesty, accuracy, and attention to detail.
