About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Accountant to join our team in Ikeja, Lagos. This full-time position involves managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting statutory compliance. You will play a key role in bookkeeping, financial reporting, and providing reliable financial insights to support business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records and general ledger entries.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices and payments.
- Monitor cash flow and manage petty cash with proper reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and prepare schedules for VAT, PAYE, and WHT filings.
- Support external auditors by preparing required documentation.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses against the budget.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory agencies on finance matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of accounting experience.
- Experience with ERP or accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- ACA, ACCA, or ICAN qualification is an advantage.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency and strong knowledge of financial reporting.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and high integrity.
