About the role
AMO Farm Sieberer Hatchery Limited is a market leader in the Day Old Chicks industry, focused on producing high-quality poultry products in a hygienic environment. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Officer to join our team in Akinyele, Oyo. This full-time position involves managing supplier invoices and ensuring the timely settlement of the company’s financial obligations.
Responsibilities
- Receive, verify, and process supplier invoices and payment requests.
- Prepare payment schedules to ensure approved obligations are settled on time.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any invoice or payment discrepancies.
- Ensure all invoices are supported by purchase orders, delivery notes, and relevant documents.
- Maintain an organised filing system for invoices, payment vouchers, and financial records.
- Support month-end closing, account reconciliations, and audit exercises.
- Ensure proper expense classification and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate accounts payable records and monitor outstanding balances.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, invoice processing, and supplier reconciliations.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organisational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
