About the role
Hobark International Limited (HIL) is the parent company of the Hobark group, operating in the oil and gas industry. Incorporated in 1998, the company started as a staffing agency in Port Harcourt and now has offices in four countries, with its head office in Lagos. We are looking for an experienced Able Seaman to join our team on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Support safe vessel and cargo operations.
- Ensure compliance with onboard HSE procedures.
- Perform watchkeeping and lookout duties.
- Handle cargo loading, offloading, and STS operations.
- Conduct firefighting and emergency equipment checks.
- Inspect rigging, hoses, and mooring lines.
- Maintain the deck, including cleaning, scraping, priming, and painting.
- Assist with mooring, anchoring, docking, and undocking operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of seafaring experience.
- Strong skills in seamanship, deck operations, cargo handling, and vessel maintenance.
