Terry also sent a message to Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, as Conte takes charge of Spurs.
Conte was appointed as Tottenham’s new head coach on Tuesday following the sacking of Nuno Santo.
The 52-year-old Italian signed an initial 18-month contract with Tottenham retaining the option of extending that deal if all parties are satisfied.
Commenting on an Instagram post of page 433, Terry wrote: “I hate to say it but what a signing this is.”
Terry’s final season at Chelsea coincided with Conte’s first at the west London club, with the pair winning the 2016-17 Premier League title together at Stamford Bridge.
