The Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Congress Committee for Osun, Admiral Osondu has described the exercise which held on Tuesday throughout the State as peaceful.

He described it as one essential for progress and victory of the party in the gubernatorial and national elections in the State.

Osondu, who was to journalists during the conduct of the Congress, also commended the members of the electoral panel for aligning themselves strictly with the congress guidelines without fear or favour.

Osondu maintained that to the national elected in the State, was in accordance with the constitution of the party.

He explained that moving round some of the congress venues, in the State, the level of maturity exhibited by the leaders and members of the party was commendable.

Earlier, the Chairman of the party in the State, Sunday Bisi, thanked the leaders and members of the party for according the congress committee members all the necessary cooperation while discharging their duties.

The Osun PDP chairman explained that the congress was peaceful in all the local visited by the Committee, including Osogbo, Olorunda, Ede South, Ede North, Irewole, Egbedore, Ilesa East, Ilesa West and Ifelodun local governments.

He also charged the newly elected to give the State full representation at the national delegates’ convention.

The Osun State Chapter of the PDP held its National Delegates’ Congress across the 30 local of the State on Tuesday 5th October, 2021.
