Niger for audit of N5b expended on by state govt

The People’s Party, (PDP) has called for an independent audit of the over N5 billion allegedly expended on the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) by the Niger State Government.

The made the call in a press statement by the state , Tanko Beji and made available to newsmen in Minna.

He argued that it is questionable for such an amount to have been expended when in truth most IDPs can hardly eat a single ration of food in a day

Beji insisted, ” it will be recalled that even when IDPs thronged into the state capital most of them didn’t stay up to 5 days”

“This could be the reason the APC led Government of Governor Sani Bello is now sweating tooth and nail to balance its irreconcilable by John to pay Paul”.
