Paid Ads Specialist (Local Ads) β Africa (6-Month Contractor)
About the Role
We are looking for a Paid Ads Specialist with strong experience in local digital advertising across African markets. The ideal candidate will manage and optimize paid media campaigns to drive brand awareness, acquisition, and engagement in key regions. Youβll collaborate closely with the regional marketing and growth teams to ensure campaigns are data-driven and locally relevant.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid ad campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and local African ad networks .
- Identify and engage reliable paid ads vendors , negotiate and collaborate with them on a post-payment basis to launch and manage advertising campaigns.
- Monitor vendor and campaign performance continuously to improve conversion rates and overall ROI.
- Localize campaign strategies for different African markets, taking into account language, audience behavior, and cultural nuances .
- Manage budgets and ensure efficient spend allocation across channels and markets.
- Collaborate with designers and content teams to develop localized creatives and ad copies .
- Prepare regular performance reports and share data-driven recommendations with regional stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in digital marketing or paid media management, ideally with regional experience in Africa.
- Proven track record in managing multi-channel ad campaigns (Google, Meta, TikTok, etc.).
- Experience in vendor sourcing and management for paid ads campaigns is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills; proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Meta Ads Manager, and Excel/Sheets .
- Excellent understanding of CPC, CPA, ROAS, and A/B testing .
- Native or fluent English ; additional local African languages (e.g., French, Swahili, Arabic) are a plus.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under a contractor setup.
